Dear Brethren:
In order to save a little money I have
decided to publish the Trestleboard during our busy months only.
All of our events are posted under the calendar and we use the phone
system to inform Brethren of deaths and degrees.
Electronic Copy of the
January
Trestleboard. Just click and print!
This year we will be
supporting various charitable organizations like the American
Redcross, Toys for Tots, Shenandoah Valley Young Marines, Boy and
Girl Scouts, MOHAVO, Scholarship, and of our Brethren and widows.
Also, we will return to
the Breakfast at the end of the month. Check the
Calendar
for the
exact date of each breakfast and or events.
We will also have a
Buy a Brick program to raise money for the lodge. We are
looking at renovating the foyer or entrance way with some nice
bricks and pictures that Brethren can see when they come into our
Lodge. The profit will go to the building fund and help
purchase a fence for the parking lot. More details are coming
on this project ...
I do not want to raise
any dues in my year. However, we do need to raise some
money for the maintance of the lodge and to pay the bills. The
water, electric, heat, mailings, have all increased and we need to
find away to continue to pay our bills. Last year we had over
$18,000 and now we are down to $10,000.
Something has to change!
One good note is our
scholarship is doing outstanding - we have over $12,500 dollars and
will be giving out a $500 scholarship this year. If any
Brother has a kid who is a senior in high school and could use a
scholarship for next year college or vocational training then
contact me.
If you have any questions about what
is going on in our lodge then contact me or stop by and find out for
yourself. Stated meetings are the same and we practice on
Wednesdays.
Hope to see you at one
of our many events this year.
Be
safe and God Bless everyone,
Larry
